4th International Equitation Science Conference

Dublin, Ireland. August 2nd – 4th 2008.

INFORMATION
At a glance...
  • ISES Dublin 2008 will take place during August 2nd – 4th 2008, at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) in Dublin, Ireland.
  • ISES Dublin 2008 will run as a satellite meeting to the ISAE 2008 Congress (www.isae2008.com), which is at nearby University College Dublin, Ireland from August 5th – 9th 2008.
  • Also coincides with the very prestigious Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show – at the RDS in the heart of Dublin city, August 6th – 10th 2008.

The timing of ISES Dublin 2008 is sure to appeal to the maximum numbers of delegates as it will run immediately before the ISAE (International Society for Applied Ethology) 2008 Conference, which will be held at University College Dublin, Ireland, from August 5th – 9th 2008.

And perhaps equally appealing is the fact that the ISES conference will be held just before the very prestigious Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show – Ireland’s Nations Cup equestrian event, which takes place annually after the August Bank Holiday Weekend at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) at Ballsbridge in the heart of Dublin city. The Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show is simply the event of the summer, attracting thousands of people. The show runs over 5 days and will provide a wonderful holiday opportunity for all ISES attendees.

ISES DUBLIN 2008 Conference Theme

The horse-human dyad: How can we improve our understanding of equine training,

performance and welfare simultaneously?

Welcome Message
'As chair of the Local Organising Committee, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Ireland.  This conference is both timely and appropriate as the horse holds a special place in the social and economic fabric of Irish culture, and Ireland is (per capita) presently the most densely equine populated country in Europe.'
