Winning Form

Winning FORM is dedicated to improving the lives of both horses and humans in the racing industry by providing the NZQA-accredited New Zealand Certificate in Equine Skills (Level 2) for stablehands, and the FORM (Five Overall Racehorse Measures) Thoroughbred Assessment for racehorses. Both services are based on the premise that the racehorse industry is directly impacted by the horses’ and peoples’ mental and physical wellbeing.

Founded by Leigh and Steve Wills in 2022, Winning FORM has introduced the certificate to training yards throughout New Zealand with great success. They have partnered with Dr Rachel Annan and Professor Siobhan Mullan of University College Dublin to deliver the FORM Thoroughbred Assessment, to be launched at the ISES 2024 Conference. Prior to Winning FORM, Leigh gained 20 years’ experience as an equine behaviour specialist, while Steve’s career lies in performance sport. Together they also own and run Foal NZ Ltd.
