Conferences

The international meetings serve as a platform where the latest scientific results into the training and welfare of horses are communicated and discussed. It is a meeting place for academics and non-academics to link science with practice.

During the meetings, plenary oral and poster sessions are held, along with practical demonstrations addressing various topics in horse training. The peer reviewed papers and posters are summarized in the Proceedings that are available for download.

ISES Sweden 2010

Conference theme - Horse welfare and human safety: importance of learning, training and education

The primary aim of ISES Sweden 2010 is to stimulate debate about the interdisciplinary approach of learning, training and education to improve horse welfare and human safety. Furthermore, participants will gain insight into Swedish education and research related to equitation science.

2011

The 7th International Equitation Science Conference will be held closely related to the Global Dressage Forum (www.globaldressageforum.com) at the end of October 2011. There will be some joint meetings that provide the opportunity for exchanging ideas between participants of both events.

The ISES conference is planned to take place at the Veterinary Faculty of Utrecht University. The Global Dressage forum is in Hooge Mierde at the Academy Bartels, a little over a 1-hour drive from Utrecht.
